The pattern repeat is 3.0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The small scale keeps the pattern discreet enough to carry an entire room. The pattern is a straight match, which makes hanging easier. Finmere comes in 5 colourways — Red, Olive, Old Blue and Aqua, among others. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can give you either a muted room or a light one.

The pattern works particularly well in living rooms and bedrooms. The look has a classic poise, sophisticated restraint and timelessness, with a medium-light overall tone. Large-scale motifs show to best advantage on curtains and larger surfaces, less so on cushions and details.
