Terms of purchase

Brittfurn's e-shop and store offers stylish and classic furniture, beautiful interior design and well-known brands from England and the rest of the world. We are constantly looking for the best brands and collections with an emphasis on international interior design and design. We want you as a customer to feel comfortable and secure when shopping through our e-shop "www.brittfurn.se" (hereinafter "the website") and the physical store. Therefore, we apply the purchase and delivery terms and conditions stipulated below (hereinafter "the terms") to orders placed in accordance with the first point.

Overview


These terms and conditions apply to all orders and purchases made through the website or the physical store by a consumer or trader and where delivery is made to a member state of the European Union. Consumer means a natural person who acts for purposes that mainly fall outside of business activities. In those parts of this agreement that conflict with the Consumer Purchase Act (1990:932) or the Act (2005:59) on distance contracts and contracts outside business premises, these shall apply instead when it concerns an agreement with a consumer. In agreements with traders, the Purchase Act (1990:931) is used as a supplement regarding issues that are not agreed upon in this agreement.


2.1 Value added tax
All prices on the website are stated in Swedish kronor and include 25% VAT. VAT is charged on all orders where delivery is to a member state of the European Union.

2.2 Shipping
All prices on the website are stated excluding shipping. We deliver all wallpaper and fabric purchases over 500 Swedish kronor free of charge to Sweden, Denmark or Finland. For purchases under 500 Swedish kronor with delivery to the above-mentioned countries or, regardless of price, for purchases with delivery to any other than the previously mentioned countries, a shipping cost will be added. The shipping cost is stated in connection with the order.

The above shipping costs only apply to wallpaper, fabrics and lighting. For furniture, there is an additional cost for delivery, which normally costs SEK 1,000. If the customer wishes to purchase the item for collection, an additional cost will be added, which is calculated at the time of purchase.

2.3 Wallpaper and fabric samples
Ordering wallpaper and fabric samples costs 50 Swedish kronor. The samples are sent by regular mail and are therefore impossible to track. This means that Brittfurn has no control over its delivery once the sample has been sent. Normal delivery time is 1 to 3 weeks. If the wallpaper sample has not arrived after 3 weeks, please contact Brittfurn to have a new one sent out.

2.4 Discount Code and Gift Card
If you want to use a discount code or gift card, you must enter this when placing your order. An unspecified discount code or gift card cannot be redeemed after the order has been completed.


Your order placed through the website is not binding on Brittfurn in connection with your receipt of an order confirmation. This is because a large part of our range consists of made-to-order goods. These goods may have been taken out of production or for some other reason be impossible for us to deliver. Brittfurn therefore reserves the right to cancel the order within one week of the time the order confirmation is received. This only happens in exceptional cases and Brittfurn always strives to notify the customer as soon as we become aware of this.

Price change and obviously incorrectly priced goods
We reserve the right to change prices in the event of circumstances beyond our control (for example, currency fluctuations, increased purchase or manufacturing prices, or increased VAT). In addition, we reserve the right to cancel orders where the product is clearly incorrectly priced.


Colors and patterns are perceived differently by different people. This means that the product texts that describe our goods are intended to give you a feeling, rather than a complete and exhaustive description, of the nature of a product. It is not uncommon for a wallpaper color to be perceived differently on a computer screen than in actual physical form. We can never guarantee that the wallpaper or fabric will be exactly the same color as the customer's existing wallpaper, wallpaper sample or wallpaper book in our showroom. This is because the wallpapers and fabrics are manufactured in different batches. If the customer wants exactly the same color scale as a previous order, we must have the batch number that comes with each wallpaper roll. The above means that we strongly recommend that you order individual wallpaper or fabric samples before making your full purchase. Wallpapers and fabrics are made-to-order goods and are not covered by the right of withdrawal ( see point 10 ). Ordering wallpaper or fabric samples costs 50 Swedish kronor. The samples are usually in A4 or slightly smaller format.

As many of our products, such as furniture, are made to order or according to the buyer's wishes, these products may differ in color shades from one piece to another. This is something that the seller cannot influence since all Brittfurn furniture is made by hand and with materials that can vary in properties from one piece to another. Our ambition is to satisfy the buyer's wishes as far as possible.


We offer three different payment methods via the website:

Klarna Checkout
Payment via Klarna Checkout. Klarna Checkout offers different solutions for your payment. You can pay against invoice, either the full amount or in installments. If you have an account with Klarna, you can collect multiple purchases and pay for them at the same time. You can also pay by bank transfer or by card. Please note that corporate customers cannot pay via Klarna Checkout.

Payment against invoice
If you would like to pay by invoice, please email us at info@brittfurn.se with information about what you would like to purchase and your billing information. Please note that the order will be sent to the factory after Brittfurn has received the payment to its account.

Payment by debit or credit card (VISA and Mastercard)
The card number and card validity period must be entered. The money is deducted from the card at the time of ordering. Check that there is no block on the card against internet payment. When paying by card, we use Shopify Payments as a partner. Shopify Payments verifies the credit card online quickly and securely. The card number is sent through an encrypted connection directly to the bank. We do not have access to any card information or bank account information. If the payment is approved by the bank, money is transferred from your account to our account.

When ordering and purchasing in the physical store
When ordering and purchasing on site in the physical store, payment is offered via debit or credit card or invoice. Please note that the order is sent to the factory after Brittfurn has received payment.

Down payment
When ordering products with a normal delivery time of 12 weeks or longer, the customer is offered to first pay a down payment of 30% of the total amount for the order to be sent to the factory, instead of paying the full amount directly when ordering. Final payment of the remaining 70% of the total amount is then made upon collection or delivery of the goods. The down payment is not refunded to the buyer if the buyer cancels the purchase.


Delivery time

Delivery methods, terms and delivery times vary depending on the type of product and country. For example, a specially ordered product may take longer to deliver than one that is in stock at the time of ordering. Normal delivery times for wallpaper depend on, among other things, which supplier manufactures it, which country it is shipped from and stock status. Normal delivery times for each individual wallpaper are specified on the website under the description of the wallpaper.

For furniture, the normal delivery time is 12 weeks. However, our delivery times may be affected by factors outside our control, such as delays from 3rd parties. An example of this is when we sell fabric furniture where the fabric is ordered from the fabric supplier who in turn sends the fabric directly to the furniture factory. After the fabric is received by the furniture manufacturer, the fabric is carefully inspected by the factory. If there is something wrong with the fabric, new fabric is ordered/sent from the fabric supplier. Another scenario that may arise is that the fabric supplier is out of stock. In addition to this, there may be other scenarios that may arise that are beyond our control. Thus, these delivery times are only an estimate and may differ from order to order.

Delay in delivery
In the event that the delivery of the goods is delayed from what was agreed or from what can reasonably be assumed to be the normal delivery time, we strive to inform the customer of this in good time. Should the delivery still be delayed, we ask you to contact us as soon as possible. This way, we can quickly and easily investigate the cause of the delay. We use Postnord Logistics when we send wallpaper and fabrics. All other deliveries are made through individual transport companies depending on the product. Delays may occur in their delivery times. Brittfurn is not responsible for the delivery time once the package has been transferred to the transport company. We are happy to help our customers to clarify the reason for any delay.

Delivery method (within Sweden)
• Shipment by post.
• Pick up in our store. The goods can be picked up in our showroom at Sturegatan 20 in Stockholm, at no extra cost. We will contact you when the product is ready for collection.

Transport damage
We use carefully selected carriers of good quality. However, transport damage can always occur. As a buyer, you are obliged to carefully examine the goods upon delivery, or in close connection with delivery. If you discover that the goods are damaged in any way, you should contact the carrier or our customer service (see point 11 for contact details). Transport damage is the responsibility of the carrier, not Brittfurn. Brittfurn's responsibility for the goods ends when it leaves the store with the transport company. Despite this, we will of course always do our best to help you in contact with the carrier.

Brexit & Covid-19
Due to Brexit and Covid-19, there may be delays for all shipping methods. We are doing our best to expedite all deliveries.


If you believe that the product is defective in any way, you should make a complaint in accordance with point 8. If the product is defective and you have made a complaint in a timely manner, we will ensure that the defect is rectified or that the product is replaced. If you want to claim a defect in the product, it is important from a proof point of view that you have the order confirmation. Therefore, make sure to save it.


Complaints about defects in the product or delays in delivery must be made within a reasonable time. You can find our contact details under point 11. In the case of wallpaper and fabrics, it is not possible to complain about the product if the product has been used. Be sure to examine the wallpaper/fabric before use. Brittfurn does not replace wallpaper rolls that have been installed or fabrics that have been sewn on.


We are not responsible for packages that are not collected within a reasonable time. We are also not responsible for uncollected packages that are returned to us. Uncollected packages that are returned to us are shipped at your risk and you are responsible for the shipping cost. It is therefore important that you collect a package even if you have regretted your purchase. If you as a customer have missed collecting the package, but want the product, you will pay the shipping cost for the second shipment yourself.


Withdrawal period and notification
Our goal is that you are satisfied with purchases made through the website. However, if this is not the case, you have the right to cancel and return your purchase under the Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Agreements Act (2005:59) within 14 days of receiving the goods (right of withdrawal and withdrawal period). If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us in accordance with point 11. You can return the goods by shipping or to us in the store ( see the return address in point 11 ). You are responsible for the shipping cost of the goods if you wish to return the goods by shipping. In addition, you may be liable for any loss in value of the goods that has occurred due to you handling the goods to a greater extent than was necessary to determine their properties or function. If you return a product, the packaging must be unbroken and in an undamaged condition with any labels still attached.

Exception
The right of withdrawal does not apply if the product was manufactured according to your instructions or if the product has otherwise been given a clear personal touch due to your order, for example custom-made furniture or lighting. The right of withdrawal does NOT apply to wallpaper and fabrics. This is because all wallpaper and fabrics are printed and cut to order. These products are therefore unique in terms of dye bath and dimensions with each production. Please note that color differences between different productions do not give you the right to return. We therefore always recommend ordering cut samples before placing an order.

The Act (2005:59) on distance contracts and contracts outside business premises contains a number of provisions that limit the right to exercise the right of withdrawal. According to the Act (2005:59) on distance contracts and contracts outside business premises, Chapter 2, Section 11, Paragraph 3, the right of withdrawal does not apply if the contract concerns goods that are manufactured according to the consumer's instructions. At Brittfurn, this applies to wallpaper, fabrics, lighting, wood and upholstered furniture that are made-to-order goods and are manufactured according to the customer's individual wishes when the order is placed. The images and descriptions on the website are therefore in this case a showroom for what can be manufactured. When the customer orders a product, production begins according to the instructions the customer gives in the order. The product is manufactured individually for the customer and Brittfurn has no possibility of taking the product back and reselling it. Because of this, Brittfurn cannot offer any right of withdrawal in these cases.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods purchased in their existing condition in the physical store, for example display copies.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to traders.

Refund
If you cancel your purchase and return the goods in accordance with point 10 , we will refund what you paid for the goods without undue delay, but no later than 14 days from the day we received your notification that you have cancelled your purchase.

We are exempted from fulfilling the obligations set out in this agreement if the fulfillment of the obligations is prevented due to circumstances beyond our control that we could not reasonably have foreseen in connection with the conclusion of the agreement, if the circumstances significantly affect our ability to fulfill the obligations. The same applies to the consequences and consequences that have arisen as a result of the above circumstances and these consequences and consequences could not reasonably have been avoided. This includes, but is not limited to, decisions of authorities, war, natural disasters, fire, accident, labor dispute.


For consumers
We always strive for our customers to be satisfied with the goods and services we provide. Therefore, our principle is to primarily resolve any disagreements by agreeing on a solution that benefits both parties. If, despite our efforts, we do not do this, you should contact the Swedish Consumer Complaints Board (ARN) for an independent review or a Swedish court applying Swedish law. We follow ARN's recommendations.

For traders
We always strive for our customers to be satisfied with the goods and services we provide. Therefore, our principle is to first resolve any disagreements by agreeing on a solution that benefits both parties. If, despite our efforts, we do not do this, the matter shall be decided by a Swedish court and in accordance with Swedish law.
