Child-Friendly Fabrics

Fabrics for children's rooms, and most of them come from one and the same source: Sanderson's Disney collection. Winnie the Pooh, Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Bambi and Alice in Wonderland — drawn in Sanderson's own watercolour-like style rather than in cartoon graphics, which means they age considerably better than a typical children's pattern.

That is the decisive difference if you are going to sew curtains or upholster an armchair in a children's room. A fabric that looks like toy packaging feels wrong the day the child turns nine. A Bambi pattern in muted watercolour tones can stay up far longer than that, and looks just as good in a guest room afterwards.

We carry 11 fabrics in the category, between 1 320 and 2 550 kronor per metre, with additions from Cole & Son — Flamingos and Miami — and Mulberry Home. The abrasion rating is listed on every product page, which is worth a look in a children's room in particular.
