With its animal and nature motifs, The Brook sits firmly within the Morris & Co design language. The house was founded in 1861 as Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co.

The pattern repeat is 91.0 cm, which makes it a large repeat. A repeat of that size is visible from across the room and sets the tone for the whole space. The pattern is a straight match, which simplifies installation. The Brook is available in 3 colourways — Tapestry Red, Tapestry Blue and Tapestry Linen. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can give you either a muted or a light room.

The Brook is part of Morris 160th Anniversary from Morris & Co.

The fabric is 140 cm wide and woven in a linen blend. A Martindale rating of 20 000 rubs makes it suitable for upholstery.

The pattern works particularly well in living rooms and bedrooms. The look combines a classic poise, a closeness to nature and sophisticated restraint, on a very dark ground. Large-scale motifs show to best advantage on curtains and larger surfaces, less so on cushions and details.
