The Aspect wall light is the work of Barbara Barry, who designs for Visual Comfort & Co. Wall lights work with the depth of a room rather than its general light. Two flanking a mirror or a bed give a softer light than a single point in the ceiling.
The fitting is available in 2 finishes — Soft Brass With Ivory Linen Shade or Bronze With Ivory Linen Shade. It is worth matching it to the other metals in the room. The material is brass.
It measures 15.3 cm wide and 36.9 cm high. It weighs 1.4 kg — worth checking against the ceiling mount before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. Its slim width means it takes up little space, which is an advantage in corridors and around mirrors.
The Aspect wall light comes into its own in hallways, bedrooms and living rooms. The look leans towards classic design. Choose a warm white bulb around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — lighting needs to be able to shift between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a photograph. Do come into the showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting switched on.
