Refrakt is an expressive example of Kelly Wearstler's unique ability to unite architectural precision with deeply artistic craftsmanship. Created for Lee Jofa and part of the acclaimed Kelly Wearstler Wallpapers VII collection, the pattern is built on a sophisticated optical structure. The repeating, three-dimensional square forms create a sense of shadow, light and movement across the wall. It is a graphic motif that catches the eye without taking over the room, adding a modern, sculptural dimension to the interior. The subtle sheen of the surface and carefully calibrated colour variations create a living wall on which the shifting light through the day constantly transforms the atmosphere of the room.
With its balanced rhythm, Refrakt is ideal in contemporary city homes as well as more classic settings where you want to create an intriguing contrast. The wallpaper works particularly well in the dining room, hallway or study, where the structured pattern can give the room a clear character and visual frame. Combining the wallpaper with natural materials such as dark wood, stone or polished metal further enhances its graphic expression. Together with Lee Jofa's craftsmanship, this pattern by Kelly Wearstler offers a timeless elegance that brings both depth and a cosy exclusivity.
