Tweed translates the flecked surface of the British woollen cloth to the floor. Dark navy and near-black dots sit closely against an ivory ground in an irregular pattern — the same speckled look as a tweed jacket, only on a considerably larger scale.
The rug is hand-tufted in India in equal parts wool and viscose. The wool provides the firm, fuzzy texture that gives the pattern its graininess; the viscose adds a faint sheen to the lighter areas. The pile is medium-high and comfortable underfoot, and the speckled surface is forgiving in rooms with a lot of movement.
This rug works as a graphic yet neutral base — it reads as light grey from a distance and as patterned up close. Lay it beneath a seating group with dark furniture, or in a bedroom where you want texture without colour. Can be ordered in custom sizes.
