Tamara is composed like an abstract painting: rectangular fields of different sizes are set against one another, and above them floats a large circular form cut off by the edge of the rug. Nothing is centred, and that is precisely why the pattern works from every side of the room.
The rug is hand-knotted in Pakistan in wool with touches of cotton. The wool is dyed in deep, muted shades and the various fields shift naturally in tone, so the composition never looks printed. The pile is short and dense — the fields meet at sharp edges, but the colour within them lives.
Three colourways: a graphic one in graphite and grey, an earthy one in olive and mustard, and a warm one with terracotta and brick red. All three are made to be the starting point of the room — keep the furniture simple and let the rug speak. Can be ordered in custom sizes and custom colours. Each piece is hand-knotted and unique.
