Seti is the most exclusive rug in the range: pure silk, handwoven in Nepal, a single colour and without pattern. It is all about the material. The pile lies in broad bands that catch the light differently, so the rug shifts between matt and glossy as you move — the same effect as in a heavy silk fabric, only underfoot.
Silk is the finest and strongest of the natural textile fibres, and in a rug it gives both an exceptional softness and a depth of colour that wool cannot reach. The colours here are kept to three calm tones: ivory, camel and a cool blue-grey.
A silk rug belongs where it is not exposed to heavy traffic — in a bedroom, in front of an open fireplace, in a library. It wants professional cleaning and protection from prolonged direct sunlight. In return, it is the kind of rug you keep for decades. Can be ordered in custom sizes and custom colours.
