Sardaigne features a trellis pattern in a crisp black outline against an ivory-white ground, framed by a bold black border. The shape is a classic ogee arch — the same pattern found in the tiles and wrought-iron grilles of Mediterranean countries — and the sharp contrast makes the rug graphic rather than decorative.
The rug is handwoven in India in wool with touches of cotton. The weave is flat and dense, keeping the straight lines straight and making the rug easy to lay beneath furniture. The wool gives depth to the black and ensures the ivory-white field never feels clinical.
This rug is effective in rooms that need structure: a hallway that should feel orderly, a dining room with simple furniture, or a living room where you want a clear graphic element without colour. It gets along unusually well with both dark wood and white paint. Available in custom sizes and custom colours to order.
