Havana is made up of narrow, closely set stripes in a long series of tones — no two side by side are quite the same. From a distance the rug reads as a single mottled surface; up close you see how each stripe has its own colour and width. It is the same principle as in a handwoven blanket, translated to the floor.
The rug is handwoven in India in wool with touches of cotton. The flat weave makes the rug thin and stable, easy to lay beneath furniture and easy to turn for even wear. The wool takes colour deeply and holds it, and the dense striping hides everyday dust better than a plain rug.
It comes in two characters: a cool one in grey, sage and beige, and a warm one in rust, brick and yellow. Both work in rooms with a lot of movement — a hallway, a dining area or a living room with children. Available in two sizes, and can be ordered in custom sizes and custom colours.
