Mar was created by the American designer Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa and is part of the exclusive Kelly Wearstler Tela Wallcovering collection. The pattern is characterised by a rhythmic composition of softly floating horizontal lines that suggest atmospheric expanses of water, drifting clouds or organic layers of sediment. The design manages to unite a distinctly modern graphic expression with a harmonious, restful balance. The subtle texture of the surface and the stylised forms give the wall a finely tuned, living dimension without taking over the rest of the room's architecture.
Thanks to its pared-back balance between abstract geometry and nature-inspired softness, Mar suits settings where you want to create a sophisticated yet muted atmosphere. The wallpaper forms an elegant backdrop in bedrooms, living rooms and calm studies alike, where the restful lines contribute to an intriguing sense of space and horizontal continuity. Combining this pattern with natural materials such as soaped wood, stoneware and genuinely tactile textiles brings out its artisanal character, resulting in a complete interior that feels both timeless and thoughtfully modern.
