Lapiaz ur Nobilis kollektion Iconoclaste är en storslagen jacquard där det oväntade får ta plats: väftens papperslika, belagda garner bryter fascinerande mot den ädla bomullsbottnen, och geometriska diagonaler ger mönstret dess rytm. Namnet är lånat från karstlandskapets fårade kalkstensformationer, och precis så skulpturalt oregelbunden är ytan. Den stora rapporten på 71 centimeter och det förtrollande fallet gör tyget till något av ett textilt konstverk.

Lapiaz kommer bäst till sin rätt där fallet och mönstret får verka i full skala: som magnifika gardiner i ett rum med takhöjd, som draperi eller som ett fristående tygstycke bakom sängen. De geometriska diagonalerna ger även stora kuddar en grafisk skärpa. Håll resten av rummet materialdrivet och lugnt — sten, trä, ull — så får Lapiaz vara den intellektuella accent den är tänkt som.
