Kashan Cloud takes its inspiration from classic parquet floors — a grid of elongated fields laid in alternating directions so that the surface constantly breaks the light. It is a sophisticated pattern that gives the room structure without competing with the furniture.
The rug is finely hand-knotted in India from bamboo yarn, a material with an exceptional lustre that comes close to silk in feel. The dense knotting keeps the pattern razor-sharp and the surface silky smooth — this is the most lavish of William Yeoward's rug constructions.
The neutral palette of beige and grey makes Kashan Cloud easy to live with. It lifts a living room in calm tones and works just as well in a dining room, where the crisp geometry frames the table.
