William Yeoward has always had a fondness for both stripes and spots — Kalika combines the two. Circles of pure wool line up in irregular stripes in harmonious tones of moss, forest green, dove grey and granite.
The rug is hand-tufted in India from wool with touches of cotton. The pile of the circles sits higher than the ground, making the pattern perceptible underfoot and giving the surface a play of shadow that changes with the light. It is an unusually tactile rug.
Sage is the muted green that suits almost any home. Kalika Sage brings a quiet pattern to the living room without taking space from the furniture, and works beautifully in a bedroom meant to feel calm.
