Intargia is an expressive work of art for the wall, created by the highly regarded American designer Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa. Part of the acclaimed Kelly Wearstler Wallpapers VII collection, the pattern is characterised by graphic vertical panels with a painterly watercolour feel. The sweeping brushstrokes and subtle play of light and shadow give the surface an architectural dynamic that creates both depth and movement in the room. The design language strikes an assured balance between the strictly geometric and the softly organic, making the wallpaper a sophisticated backdrop in modern and classic settings.
In a larger room, Intargia contributes to a cosy, artistic atmosphere, where the large-scale lines draw the eye upwards and create a sense of space. The lively texture of the surface catches the light harmoniously at every hour of the day. The wallpaper suits impressive reception rooms and dining rooms just as well as calm bedrooms where a muted elegance is sought. Combining this distinctive pattern with natural materials such as wood, stone and tactile textiles further brings out its artisanal character, giving the entire interior a considered, international feel.
