Boréal M1 is the flame-retardant version of Houlès' woven dimout lining, rated to the French M1 fire standard and intended for hotels, healthcare settings, offices and other public spaces where fire safety requirements are strict. The flame retardancy is in the fibre and does not wash out.

The lining strongly reduces light thanks to a dense weave with a dark core fibre, with no coating, and therefore feels like an ordinary fabric with a soft, fluid drape. The 150 cm width suits single-width curtains.

The quality works both as a lining behind a flame-retardant face fabric and as a curtain fabric in its own right in simpler rooms.
