Hooker Furniture Academia console table is a poetically well-balanced console table that brings both character and calm to the hallway or living room. The frame is made of birch veneer, rubberwood and steel, which gives the surface both depth and a tactile presence. Clean lines and balanced proportions keep the look calm and composed. Its size is considered enough to work in smaller flats and larger homes alike. The look is timeless — as natural in a newly renovated turn-of-the-century home as in a modern villa. The Academia series draws inspiration from the classic library — deeper tones, crisper lines and a certain intellectual weight. Pair it with calm earth tones, natural materials and soft textiles to give the console table the space it deserves. Hooker Furnishings rests on more than a hundred years of American furniture-making, and it shows in how this piece is built — solidly, thoughtfully and with an eye for the small things. Slight variations in the material are natural and add to the piece's individual character. It holds together visually even as the style around it changes over time — a reassuring choice when a home is meant to evolve in stages.
