With floral motifs, Orchid sits firmly within Cole & Son’s design language. The house was founded in 1875 by John Perry in Islington, London.
The pattern repeat is 72.0 cm, which makes it a large repeat. A repeat of that size is visible from across the room and sets the tone for the whole space. The pattern is a drop match. Orchid comes in 11 colourways. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can give you a muted room or a light one.
Orchid is part of the Contemporary Selection from Cole & Son.
Each roll is 53 cm wide and 10.05 metres long, printed on non-woven.
The pattern works particularly well in living rooms and hallways. The look combines elegance, romantic softness and timelessness, on a light ground. Let the wall do the talking and keep the upholstery calm.
The palette is dominated by beige: light and soft in tone, with a neutral undertone. Keep the room’s other textiles at the same temperature and the whole scheme holds together.
