PROJECT - Saltsjöbaden
Saltsjobaden
Shortly after the well-known architect Tore E:son Lindhberg designed Engsholm Castle, he began, in 1919, to dream of a villa in a classical style by the water. Over a decade later, our team was commissioned to transform the entire interior and exterior into a charming family home. With four young children, practicality played a natural role in the design of each room. From previously formal and unused rooms such as the dining room, living room and library, to a cozy winter garden, a lounge for the whole family and playful spaces for the youngest.
A predominantly grey and blue colour palette was used to modernise the interior and create relaxed and warm spaces. Antique and modern pieces have been used to complement each other to highlight the combination of old and new. The numerous outdoor spaces within the gardens unite the interior with the exterior and the playhouse, swings and trampoline create an idyllic outdoor environment for children.
