The semolina mill
In charming Nacka lies the historic Mannagrynskvarnen from the 1920s, where the exterior of the building has been preserved while the mill has been converted into housing. We were commissioned to refresh the kitchen of the 124 square meter apartment with its impressive view over the water and towards Djurgården. The area is characterized by its industrial feel with the mighty mill as its centerpiece. By demolishing the previous kitchen, our priority was to ensure that the new design complemented both the existing architecture and the client's colorful vision.

The space exudes joy and playfulness with a sophisticated, industrial touch. The result is a bold kitchen imbued with character and personality.

Together with the client, who was open to all the exciting possibilities a custom-made kitchen could bring, we were allowed to explore ideas around layout, materials and installation.
