Draxon is one of William Yeoward's most beloved rug designs — short dashes laid in rows, like stones lined up on a beach. In the indigo version, ink blue and peacock blue meet in a colour scheme that is balanced exactly as it should be.
The rug is hand-tufted in India in equal parts wool and viscose. The wool gives the matt, sturdy ground and the viscose the lustre in the pattern itself, so the dashes lift from the surface when light falls from the side.
Draxon is timeless and easy to combine. It anchors a sofa arrangement just as well as it offers a soft landing beside the bed, and it happily keeps company with both patterned fabrics and restrained, plain furniture.
