With Syrah, the Italian textile house Dedar of Milan presents a woven upholstery fabric in which craftsmanship and tactile feel are at the very heart. The textile is constructed as a soft jacquard woven with three wefts, in which a full-bodied chenille provides the defining character. Combining heavy, irregular yarns in subtly mottled shades creates an atmospheric play within the weave. The horizontal streaks give the fabric a discreet linear structure and a three-dimensional surface that catches the light very beautifully. The result is a fabric that combines modern elegance with an inviting, warm texture.

Syrah is particularly well suited to upholstering furniture such as armchairs, sofas and padded headboards, where the rich texture of the material can truly come into its own.
