Tulipomania from Sanderson is built around floral motifs, drawn with the attention to detail that characterises the house's design. The house was founded in 1860 by Arthur Sanderson in Islington, London.

The pattern repeat is 119,0 cm, which makes it a large repeat. At that scale, the pattern becomes the focal point of the room. Allow some extra when calculating quantities to account for pattern matching. The pattern is a straight match, which makes hanging simpler. The colourway is Tulipomania Botanical.

Tulipomania comes from the Glasshouse collection.

The fabric is 139 cm wide and woven in 100% cotton. A Martindale rating of 20 000 rubs makes it suitable for upholstery.

Tulipomania is shown to best advantage in living rooms and bedrooms. Its character combines a classic poise, romantic softness and colour intensity, with a very light overall tone. Mix with plain fabrics for balance, and put the pattern where it will be seen.

The palette is dominated by white, very light and clear in tone with a neutral undertone. That determines what it pairs with: a cool undertone wants cool neighbours, while a warm one can take wood and brass.
