Larkspur dates from 1872 and was drawn by William Morris. The pattern is based on observed nature rather than ornament, and that difference is what keeps it working today.
The pattern repeat is 45.7 cm, which makes it a medium-sized repeat. It is a size that works in both small and large rooms. A straight match makes hanging straightforward. Larkspur comes in 4 colourways — Slate/Russet, Green/Coral, Manilla/Oldrose and Olive/Lilac. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can give you a muted room or a light one.
