Libreria from Cole & Son is built around children's room motifs, drawn with the richness of detail that characterises the house's designs. The house was founded in 1875 by John Perry in Islington, London.
The pattern repeat is 76.2 cm, which makes it a large repeat. At that scale, the pattern becomes the main feature of the room. Add a margin to your quantity calculation for pattern matching. The pattern has an offset match.
Libreria comes from the Fornasetti Senza Tempo collection.
Each roll is 68.5 cm wide and 10.00 metres long, printed on non-woven.
Libreria is seen at its best in living rooms. The look conveys a classic poise, sophisticated restraint and timelessness, with a dark base tone. Pair it with plain textiles and wood in natural tones, and the pattern has room to make its effect.
The palette is dominated by grey — dark and deep in tone, with a neutral undertone. That determines what it works with: a cool undertone wants cool neighbours, while a warm one can take wood and brass.
