A straight pattern match makes hanging straightforward. Acara comes in 11 colourways — Gunmetal, Chinchilla, Marl and Chromium among others. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can create a muted room or a bright one.

The fabric is 140 cm wide and woven in a cotton blend. With 40 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it comfortably withstands upholstery use in the home.

The look carries a classic poise, timelessness and sophisticated restraint, with a mid-tone base. Large-scale motifs are shown to best advantage on curtains and larger surfaces, less so on cushions and details.

The palette is dominated by grey, mid-toned and soft, with a neutral undertone. Keep the room's other textiles at the same temperature and the whole will hold together.
