Piana from Manuel Canovas is built around stripes, drawn with the richness of detail that characterises the house's designs.

The pattern has a straight match, which makes it simpler to make up. Piana comes in 4 colourways — Paprika, Or, Bleu and Vert. Feel free to take home several samples. The same design can come out entirely differently depending on the colourway.

Piana comes from the Corti collection.

The fabric is 138 cm wide and woven in 100% polypropylene. At 50 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it comfortably withstands upholstery use in the home.

The look carries a classic poise, a relaxed touch and strength of colour, with a light base tone. Mix with plain fabrics for balance, and let the pattern sit where it will be seen.

The palette is dominated by orange, light and clear in tone with a warm undertone. That decides what it works with: a cool undertone wants cool neighbours, while a warm one can take wood and brass.
