The character is one of classic poise, sophisticated restraint and timelessness, on a dark ground. Large-scale motifs show to best advantage on curtains and larger surfaces, less so on cushions and details.

The palette is dominated by blue, dark and deep in tone with a neutral undertone. Keep the room's other textiles at the same temperature and the whole scheme holds together.
