With its textured surface, Hugo sits firmly within the Colefax & Fowler design language.

The pattern repeat is 3.0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The small scale makes the pattern discreet enough to carry an entire room. A straight match makes the fabric uncomplicated to make up. Hugo is available in 5 colourways — Beige, Old Blue, Leaf Green and Red, among others. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can give you a muted room or a light one.

Hugo is part of Tarn - Aut 22 from Colefax & Fowler.

The fabric is 141 cm wide and woven in a linen blend. A Martindale rating of 20 000 rubs makes it suitable for upholstery.

The pattern works particularly well in living rooms and bedrooms. The look carries a classic poise, timelessness and a closeness to nature, on a very light ground. Large-scale motifs come into their own on curtains and larger surfaces, less so on cushions and details.
