The Ambrose fabric from Colefax & Fowler is built on a plain, textured surface.

The pattern repeat is 1.0 cm, which makes it a small repeat. The close repeat gives a calm, almost textured surface from a distance. A straight pattern match keeps installation uncomplicated. Ambrose is available in 7 colourways — Old Blue, Taupe, Silver and Pewter, among others. The colourways differ more than you might expect; choose according to the light in the room.

The pattern belongs to the Carissa Sheers - Aut 18 collection.

The fabric is 300 cm wide and woven in a wool blend.

We recommend Ambrose for living rooms and bedrooms. The look carries a relaxed feel, a closeness to nature and timelessness, with a very light base tone. It suits curtains just as well as upholstery — keep the other textiles in the room simple.

The palette is dominated by blue, very light and soft in tone with a cool undertone. Consider which way the room faces — north light pulls colours cooler than they appear on the sample.
