Behind the Bryant wall light is Thomas O'Brien, designer for Visual Comfort & Co. Wall lights work with the depth of a room rather than its base lighting. A pair flanking a mirror or a bed gives a softer light than a single point in the ceiling.
The fitting comes in 7 finishes — Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass With Linen Shade, Bronze and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass With Linen Shade and Bronze With Linen Shade and Black Trim, among others. It is worth matching them to the other metals in the room. The materials are nickel & chrome.
It measures 14 cm wide and 36.2 cm high. It weighs 1 kg — worth checking against the ceiling fixing before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. Its slim width means it takes up little space, which is an advantage in corridors and around mirrors.
The Bryant wall light is at its best in hallways, bedrooms and living rooms. Choose a warm white bulb around 2700 K and ideally fit a dimmer — lighting needs to be able to shift between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a photograph. Do come into the showroom at Sturegatan 20 and see the fitting switched on.
