The Stone Ridge upholstered armchair from Jonathan Charles is a dining chair that carries all the finest qualities of the British cabinetmaking tradition. It belongs to the JC Edited - Stone Ridge collection, which is firmly rooted in natural heft and the inspiration of rolling hills. Here, rough-hewn wood and stone-like surfaces come together in a design inspired by mountain landscapes, and the Stone Ridge upholstered armchair carries that whole aesthetic forward in its own characterful interpretation. Made by Jonathan Charles's craftsmen, with every layer of finish, every cut and every joint done by hand — a process that takes time but gives the furniture a depth that cannot be copied. At home, the Stone Ridge upholstered armchair serves as a refined dining chair at the dinner table in the dining room. Its proportions are judged so that the piece holds its own without taking over — exactly the balance Jonathan Charles is known for. Styling tip: Works just as well around a classic dining table as at a desk or dressing table. A piece that does more than serve a function — it also anchors the room in a long tradition of crafted quality.
