The Georgian Antique Mahogany Dining Chair – Skipper from Jonathan Charles is a dining chair that carries all the finest qualities of the British cabinetmaking tradition. It belongs to the Buckingham collection, which is firmly rooted in royal English tradition. Here, mahogany with hand-carved details and veneer work comes together in a design inspired by British stately homes, and the Georgian Antique Mahogany Dining Chair – Skipper carries that whole aesthetic forward in its own characterful interpretation. Every Jonathan Charles piece passes through the hands of specialist craftsmen — the joiner, the cabinetmaker, the marquetry artisan and the master of finishes — before it is ready to leave the workshop. At home, the Georgian Antique Mahogany Dining Chair – Skipper serves as a characterful dining chair in the dining room. Its proportions are judged so that the piece holds its own without taking over — exactly the balance Jonathan Charles is known for. Styling tip: Let a contrasting seat or upholstery break things up — it lifts the whole dining set. A choice that rewards a careful eye — the longer you live with the piece, the more you discover.
