Behind the Melange Large Ceiling Light is Kelly Wearstler, a designer for Visual Comfort & Co. A ceiling light sets the level of light in a room and is also the first thing you notice. Hung over a table, its lower edge should sit 60–70 cm above the top.
The finish is Polished Nickel With Alabaster. The material is nickel & chrome.
It measures 114.3 cm in width and 121.3 cm in height. It weighs 10.9 kg — worth checking against the ceiling mounting before installation. Delivery time is 2-8 weeks. This is a fixture on the larger scale. Over a dining table, you ideally want the width to be roughly half that of the tabletop, so this one suits tables from around 140 cm upwards.
The Melange Large Ceiling Light is at its best in dining rooms and living rooms. Its expression leans towards art deco and a modern idiom. Choose a warm white light source of around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — the lighting needs to adapt between day and evening.
Lighting is hard to judge from a photograph. You are welcome to visit our showroom on Sturegatan 20 and see the fixture switched on.
