Behind the Acme Small flush mount is Barbara Barry, designer for Visual Comfort & Co. A flush mount sits tight against the ceiling and gives an even light without taking up height. That makes it the natural choice in rooms with lower ceilings, hallways and passages.
The fitting comes in 3 finishes — Polished Nickel With White Glass, Soft Brass With White Glass and Bronze With White Glass. Ideally, match it to the other metals in the room. The materials are glass and nickel & chrome.
It measures 22.9 cm in width and 12.1 cm in height. It weighs 2.3 kg — worth checking against the ceiling fixing before installation. Lead time is 2-8 weeks. The compact diameter suits hallways, cloakrooms and smaller spaces, ideally several in a row along a longer passage.
The Acme Small flush mount is at its best in hallways, bedrooms and kitchens. Choose a warm-white bulb around 2700 K and ideally add a dimmer — the lighting needs to adjust between day and evening.
