With its textured surface, Kendal Velvet sits firmly within G P & J Baker's design language.

A straight pattern match makes the fabric easy to make up. Kendal Velvet comes in 6 colourways — Sand, Blush, Teal and Indigo, among others. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can give you a muted room or a bright one.

Kendal Velvet is part of Keswick Velvets from G P & J Baker. The velvet catches the light and gives the pattern a depth that a print on a flat weave cannot reach.

The fabric is 140 cm wide and woven in a cotton blend. With 50 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it handles upholstery in the home with a comfortable margin.

The look carries elegance, sophisticated restraint and a classic poise, with a very dark base tone. Large-scale motifs come into their own on curtains and larger surfaces, less so on cushions and details.
