Sunflower dates from 1879 and was drawn by William Morris. The pattern is built on observed nature rather than ornament, and that difference is what makes it work to this day.
The pattern repeat is 46.0 cm, which makes it a medium repeat. It is a size that works in small and large rooms alike. The pattern is a straight match, which simplifies hanging. Sunflower is available in 2 colourways — Chocolate/Red and Chocolate/Cream. The difference between them is greater than you might think — the same pattern can make a room either muted or light.
Sunflower is part of Queen Square from Morris & Co.
Each roll is 52 cm wide and 10.05 metres long, printed on paper. The weight is 181 g/m².
The pattern works particularly well in living rooms and hallways. The look carries a classic poise, elegance and timelessness, on a medium-light ground. Let the wall do the talking and keep the soft furnishings calm.
You are welcome to order a sample before deciding — printed colours behave differently on a wall than on a screen.
