The 1930s Chest of Drawers in Gilded Anthracite Shagreen – Large from Jonathan Charles is a chest of drawers that carries all the finest qualities of the British cabinetmaking tradition. It belongs to the JC Modern - Luxe collection, which is firmly rooted in understated luxury and contemporary elegance. Here matt finishes, polished surfaces and metal accents come together in a design inspired by modern city apartments, and the 1930s Chest of Drawers in Gilded Anthracite Shagreen – Large carries that whole aesthetic forward in its own characterful interpretation. Made by Jonathan Charles's craftsmen, with every layer of finish, every cut and every joint laid by hand — a process that takes time but gives the furniture a depth that cannot be copied. At home, the 1930s Chest of Drawers in Gilded Anthracite Shagreen – Large works as a practical and decorative chest of drawers in the bedroom, hallway or dressing room. The proportions are carefully judged so that the piece holds its own without taking over — exactly the balance Jonathan Charles is known for. Styling tip: Combine with art above for a complete vignette. A piece that not only serves a purpose but also anchors the room in a long tradition of crafted quality.
