Striped Curtains

Striped curtain fabrics by the metre — just over 400 to choose from, from narrow pinstripes to broad block stripes. Here you find the fabric; we make up the curtains to your measurements.

It is worth saying plainly, because it is not always obvious: this is fabric by the metre, not ready-made curtains. You choose the fabric, we work out the widths and drops, and you get a pair of curtains that actually fit the window instead of being ten centimetres too short. The sewing is handled through bespoke, with a lead time of 8–14 weeks.

Stripes are rewarding at the window for a simple reason. A vertical stripe draws the eye upwards and makes the ceiling feel higher, and unlike a pattern with a motif, stripes can take being pleated — they do not break up in the drape. A narrow, tight stripe reads as a plain surface from a distance and only reveals itself up close. A broad stripe shows right across the room and becomes its most defining feature.

The range runs from 215 to 10 030 kronor per metre, with most of it around 1 950. Brands include Ralph Lauren Home, Colefax & Fowler, Designers Guild, G P & J Baker, Mulberry Home and Sanderson.
