Landor from Colefax & Fowler is a hand-painted damask with clear historic roots, created for the Pendine collection. Its elegant pointed arches and mirrored damask composition take inspiration from an antique archive fabric, but have been given a softer, more pared-back expression. The surface has an almost relief-like quality reminiscent of classic plasterwork and carved wood detailing, while the natural texture of the linen and cotton blend lends the pattern a lively, sophisticated depth.

This versatile fabric has a wonderful drape and is ideal for sweeping curtains that frame the window, but it also looks beautiful on furniture and decorative cushions. For a balanced interior, Landor pairs well with plain linens or rich velvet. The design is offered in four well-judged colourways – Blue, Old Blue, Olive Green and Beige – each bringing an understated yet tangible elegance to the room.
