Jane Churchill's Mira fabric is based on a textured surface.

The pattern is a straight match, which makes it simpler to make up. Mira comes in 3 colourways — Aqua, Pink and Stone. The colourways differ more than you might expect; choose according to the light in the room.

The pattern belongs to the Zander Velvets collection. The velvet catches the light and gives the pattern a depth that a print on a flat weave cannot reach.

The fabric is 136 cm wide and woven in a cotton blend. At 50 000 rubs on the Martindale scale, it handles upholstery in a domestic setting with a comfortable margin.

The look carries a closeness to nature, a classic poise and elegance, with a mid-light base tone. Works as well for curtains as for upholstery — keep the other textiles in the room simple.
