There are many things you might wonder about when ordering curtains. That's why we've gathered everything you need to know about curtains here as a guide so you get exactly the curtain you want!
Curtain lengths come in a range of styles and you can choose from a variety of fabrics to create the desired atmosphere in your home. For example, you can have a thinner curtain, also called voile, to reduce transparency, or one in a thicker fabric such as velvet, to create a luxurious and more exclusive feel in your home.
Roller blinds fit most windows and are perfect for rooms where you don't want hanging curtains but still want to be able to block out light or privacy. Roller blinds are a popular choice for kitchens or places in the home where you have furniture underneath, such as a bench or cabinet.

Single curtains give you a curtain on only one side of the window, a great choice if your window is large and not centered on the wall.

Full-length curtains are great if you want the option to draw your curtains completely, to block out light or privacy. They also give a rich and luxurious look when not drawn. Curtains that can be drawn both forward and backward are more useful, and remember that drawn curtains are a great way to protect carpets and furniture from fading in the sun.

Our decorative curtains cover ⅓ of the window per curtain , meaning if you have a window that is one meter wide and order a pair of “decorative curtains”, the middle part (33 cm) will not be covered by the curtains if you try to pull them together. Decorative curtains are therefore not suitable as blackout curtains or curtains that are to protect against visibility or light, but are a good choice for the dining room, living room or office, where the curtains are intended to be decorative.

To give the illusion that the window is larger than it is, we recommend that the curtain rod or track is wider than the window. When choosing the width of the curtains, think about what you want the curtains to cover when they are drawn, should they cover only the window or the entire wall?
If you have a track that is attached to the ceiling, simply measure from floor to ceiling. If you have a track that is attached to the wall or a curtain rod, measure from the rod down to the floor. We recommend that the curtains end about 2 cm above the floor, but if you prefer the curtains to have a trail along the floor, simply add a few centimeters to the curtain drop height.

There is no exact answer to how long the curtain rod “should” be, but to give a luxurious and full impression, we recommend that the rod protrude at least 15 cm on each side of the window. This means that if the window is 100 cm wide, the curtain rod should be at least 130 cm.

Tracks are the option for those who want their curtains to run from floor to ceiling and from wall to wall with a modern look. Our tracks can be attached to the ceiling or the wall, depending on what suits your home best.
