The Brook is inspired by an earlier design by JH Dearly and was created by Alison Gee, designer at Morris & Co. Morris, fascinated by the Middle Ages, considered tapestry to be the most revered form of decorative art and was able to create many of them with motifs inspired by priests and legends. Thanks to today's digital printing technology, Alison's reinterpretation can be reproduced in both sharpness and exuberance. The Brook is printed in two versions. The pattern is also available as fabric in two versions, one in velvet and one in linen/viscose, in the Archive III Print Collection.
