Blackthorn' designed for wallpaper by JH Dearle in 1892 was first adapted for machine printed fabric in 1975 by Sanderson and became hugely popular. Today's versions are reproduced in authentic colours that match the original wallpaper samples and the mottled appearance gives the fabric a hand-printed look.
