Moud carpets come from the city of the same name in eastern Iran. The carpets from Moud often have a Herati pattern that adorns the carpets. They are divided into Moud Mahi and Moud Garden. Mahi means fish in Persian and refers to the fish motifs that often adorn the carpets. They are often beige with blue and light red shades and medlajong. Garden carpets are decorated with garden motifs with many animals and plant images. Moud carpets are often of very good quality and the finer carpets have silk inserts or are completely made of silk. The number of knots for Moud carpets varies from 250,000-600,000 knots per square meter.
