This linen blend upholstery fabric was inspired by a hand-woven carpet at Merton Abbey and was exhibited by Morris & Co. at the 1893 Arts and Crafts Society exhibition. The original design probably came from the huge Persian original that Morris hung in his dining room at Kelmscott House and is now produced in versatile, restful colourways and a wallpaper of the same name.
